Abstract

1454994 Liquid level control KODAK Ltd 10 Dec 1973 [11 Dec 1972] 57080/72 Heading G1H [Also in Division G2] In a processing apparatus, such as for use in a machine in which a quantity of solution lost during the carrying out of the process, is replaced, the main volume of liquid is contained in a processing tank 8, closed by a lid 31, and the arrangement is such that a vent tube 7, having its upper end in an air space above liquid 2 in a closed container 1, has its lower end 19 normally immersed in the liquid 9 in the tank 8 so that when the lower end 19 of the tube 7 is uncovered the liquid 2, from tank 1, passes through a tube 3 to a tank 4 and the liquid on reaching a level 12 is syphoned by a pipe 6 into the tank 8 until the end 19 of the tube 7 is again covered to stop the action. In a further embodiment, Fig. 3, a heater coil 46" and a thermistor 45", in circuit with a valve, opens the valve when the coil is uncovered to allow liquid to enter the tank 8" until the heater and coil 46"is again covered to stop the action.
