Abstract

1453479 Crimping pliers PRESSMASTER Ltd 11 Feb 1974 [12 Feb 1973] 06101/74 Heading B4W [Also in Division B3] A crimping tool includes a ratchet device 9 pivotally connected between the handles 14, 15 to ensure proper completion of the crimping stroke, one of the pivotal connections being adjustable so as to provide for wear of the device 9, the adjustment means comprising an elongate block 1 supporting a pivot pin 6 for the ratchet device the block being arranged to slide longitudinally in the handle 15, and an adjusting screw 2 engaging a threaded bore 5 in the block 1, the head of the screw 2 having a prong 4 engageable in a selected recess in a disc 7 to set the device in an adjusted position. The crimping tool may be other than manually-e.g. hydraulically, pneumatically or electrically operated.
