Abstract

1450466 Glow discharge lamps GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 5 Feb 1974 [1 March 1973] 05272/74 Heading H1D A glow discharge lamp 10 comprising an envelope 11, electrodes 12, 13, and lead-in wires 14, 15 extending through and sealed in the envelope, and connected to the electrodes, is filled with a mixture of neon and xenon, wherein between .001% and 1.0% by volume of the mixture consists of xenon. The electrodes may be made of nickel or nickel-coated steel, and coated with barium strontium oxide or barium azide.
