Abstract

1437264 Elevator railways MCNEIL CORP 14 May 1973 [9 June 1972 (2)] 22859/73 Heading B7L [Also in Division F2] A material handling apparatus A comprises a monorail B for manually or power driven suspended trolleys C, the rail B being supported from overhead transverse beams D, each carrying the rail B via brackets 30 bolted to the beams D and bolts E, F connected to brackets 14 on the rail B and each trolley comprising wheeled trucks 110, 112, 114, 116 carrying a load bar 100 having a central load supporting eyebolt 140. The invention is characterized in that the bolts E, F are connected to the bracket 14 and 30 by resilient entirely flexible material liquid containing closed vessels 50, 70 and 50<SP>1</SP>, 70<SP>1</SP> respectively; the trucks 110, 112, 114, 116 support the load bar 100 through resilient flexible liquid containing closed vessels 120, 122, 124, 126 respectively and the load bar 100 supports the eyebolt 140 through a resilient flexible liquid containing closed vessel 144. The closed vessels are, in this embodiment annular or ring like and are disposed in each case between washers 40, 42 and 62, 64 and the bolts E, F pass through enlarged apertures 22 to permit of universal movement via the ring members. The ring members 50, 50<SP>1</SP> and 70, 70<SP>1</SP> are connected by conduits 80, 82 respectively to equalize the loadings on the bolts E, F. The ring members 120, 122 and 124, 126 are connected by equalizing conduits 130, 133 respectively.
