Abstract

1436578 Timepiece escapements BUNKER RAMO CORP 5 June 1973 [5 June 1972] 26779/73 Heading G3T A unit 21 for mounting on a balance shaft 14 comprises a guard roller 22 on one side of a flange 25 from the other side of which projects an impulse pin 28. Bore 24 is formed as a friction fit on the balance shaft so that the unit may be turned to set the escapement in beat, allowing the inner end of hairspring 34 to be welded or cemented to a boss 35 integral with the shaft. The unit is moulded from plastics or metal powder and co-operates with a similarly moulded pallet lever (19) Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown) having a finger (33) and fork (32) to engage notch 23 and the pin 28, and integral pallet pins (31). The flange 25 gives a designed unbalance as described in Specification 1380767.
