Abstract

1,083,209. Watch balances. FABRIQUE D'HORLOGERIE CHS. TISSOT ET FILS S.A. Dec. 10, 1965 [Jan. 4, 1965], No.52608/65. Heading G3T. A watch balance comprises a disc 4 of moulded plastics material, e.g. nylon, having secured to its periphery a metallic ring 1. The disc 4 is formed integrally with a central stud 5 having axially extending cylindrical openings 9, 10 to permit the securing of the inner end of the balance spring 11 to the stud. The outer end of the spring 11 is secured to a stud 21 carried by a bridge 22. Pivotally mounted in an opening in the bridge 22 is a regulator 24 having a projection 29 forming the balance-spring buckle. The inner end of the stud 5 is formed with longitudinal ribs 12 for engaging a similarly ribbed surface in a recess 15 in the balance shaft 14. The stud 5 and the shaft 14 may thus be relatively oriented whereby the impulse pin 18 formed on the shaft 14 may be adjusted relatively to the escapement lever to bring the escapement into beat.
