1436456 Transformers and inductors TRANSFORMATOBEN UNION AG 27 July 1973 [28 July 1972] 35863/73 Heading HIT A winding comprises pairs of disc coils 11 and 12, 13 and 14, each coil having the same number of turns of each of a number of interwound electrical conductors, e.g. 1 to 8 in Fig. 2, the winding direction of each pair of coils being opposite to that in the or each adjacent pair, and the winding inputs 1, 3, 5, 7 being equally spaced around the circumference of the coil and being led irrespective of direction along the smallest possible circular are to a plug or connection point 20. Connections 15 between the coils are similarly spaced and lie approximately midway between adjacent inputs. The coils are wound of flat conductor wires with broad faces together and the conductor ends forming the winding inputs are bent through 90 degrees over the edge of the coil so that their broad faces lie flat on the end face of the coil. Connections to the plug 20 may be by bending and/or soldering and insulation is provided by wrapping with paper strips or the like. For a middle input winding the conductor ends may run between two coil end faces, for an end output winding the conductor ends may run between one coil end face and an adjacent screen ring.
