Abstract

243,390. Meyer, U. Nov. 22, 1924, [Convention date]. Inductances.-In cables of the kind comprising a conductor wound helically around a ferro-magnetic core, the angle of pitch of the winding lies between 30‹ and 70‹. The conductor may be composed of a plurality of superposed strips wound at the same angle and so dimensioned that the current density is the same in all the layers. In addition to the inner core, an outer core of ferro-magnetic material mav be provided consisting of parallel wires or strips wound in the opposite direction to the conductor.
