Abstract
1436429 Thermionic cathodes BBC BROWN BOVERI & CO Ltd 4 Sept 1973 [6 Sept 1972] 41608/73 Heading H1D A thermionie cathode comprises two aligned tubular parts 9, 9<SP>1</SP> each formed by winding two layers of wires 8 helically in opposite directions and a conducting support 5; the adjacent ends of the wires of the two parts being connected to the periphery of the support, the parts being angularly displaced so that there are alternate connections around the periphery to the cathode parts. The support is attached to a central current carrier 2 and its periphery comprises apertures 6 and recesses 7.
