Abstract
1435157 Clips FIRTH CLEVELAND FASTENINGS Ltd 22 July 1974 [21 July 1973] 34885/73 Heading E2B A clip 10, Figs. 1, 2, which connects two "T"-shaped members 14, 16 in a mutually perpendicular disposition (Fig. 5), is formed by a spring-metal plate having tabs 30, 32 Figs. 1, 2, for engaging an aperture in member 14 to prevent longitudinal movement, and a detent 52 coacting with an aperture 20 in the other member 16 and retained therein by lateral detents 42 at each side of the plate. A locking tab 28 is bent to engage over the end connecting end of member 14. In a modification, the clip 100, Fig. 6, embodies a bent over tag 102 at one end and two parts of spaced bent up abutments 123, 136 at the other end of the clip. This latter form of clip cooperates with a "T" shaped member, member 154 Fig. 8, having a tongue 156, penetrating one of a number of "H"- shaped slots in the other "T"-shaped member; apertures 164, 168, 170 in member 154 are engaged by the parts 102, 136 and 123, respectively of the clip. The abutments 123 may be replaced by a single central tab and a rivet a spot weld may be used in place of the tag 102.
