1430010 Mounting printing plates BALL CORP 16 July 1973 [17 July 1972] 33762/73 Heading B6C Apparatus for holding and tensioning a printing plate on a saddle or printing cylinder comprises a spring-mounted bar 30 having a rounded end 17 for gripping a complementarily shaped end 25 of a printing plate 22. To mount the plate on the saddle or cylinder the bar is moved towards the end of a support 13 against the force of the springs either by toggle mechanisms which grip pins on each side of the bar and saddle, Figs. 15 and 16 (not shown) or by a cam operated lever, Figs. 10 to 14 (not shown).
