Abstract

1314744 Printing apparatus NORTH AMERICAN ROCKWELL CORP 12 Aug 1971 [13 Oct 1970] 37944/71 Heading B6C A saddle 11 for attaching a flexible printing plate 15 to a printing cylinder comprises at one or at each end thereof a bar 21 having lugs 26 for engaging apertures in the plate, the bar being biased outwardly of the saddle end 25 by spring means 35. Locking means are provided (Figs. 6-9, not shown) for locking the bar in a retracted position in close proximity to the end 25. In this position the plate may be attached to the saddle, the bar being subsequently released to stretch the plate.
