Abstract

1,240,965. Printing apparatus. ROLAND OFFSETMASCHINENFABRIK FABER & SCHLEICHER A.G. 27 April, 1970 [3 May, 1969], No. 20072/70. Heading B6C. Plate clamp 3 comprises a movable tensioning bar 6, which is mounted in a lengthwise groove of a plate cylinder 2, and a jaw member 14 which is pivotally mounted on the bar 6 by engagement of protrusions 13, 16 on the bar and jaw member and can be removed from the clamp 3 by an axial movement to disengage the protrusions 13, 16. The plate 5 is held between an arm 26 of the jaw member 14 and an extension 27 of bar 6, and is tensioned by screw 7. Rotation of eccentric rod 23 rotates the jaw member 14 against a loading imposed by a spring 17 to clamp or release the plate 5.
