Abstract

1427536 Hinges ASSOCIATED ALUMINIUM & METAL INDUSTRIES SENDIRIAN BERHAD 7 June 1973 27294/73 Heading E2F A casement window or other hinged panel 10 is mounted for opening movement within a frame 11, 12 by hinge fitments each comprising a member 14 secured to frame member 11 and formed along its length with a rectangular guide slot 18 'having a length-wise extending gap 19 to accommodate a slide 15 positioned by a leaf spring 21. A first link 16, apertured at 25 for attachment to the frame of the window 10, is pivotally mounted on slide 15 and a second link 17 is pivotally connected at one end 24 to link 16 and at the other end 23 to the member 14. In operation, with one fitment at the top and bottom of the window respectively the links 16 and 17 are in alignment as shown in Fig. 1 when the window is closed and opening movement of the window causes link 17 to rock about pivot 23 with resulting movement of slide 15 along slot 18 to the open position shown in Fig. 2.
