Abstract

1427109 Reinforcing ribbed concrete floors SOC INDUSTRIELLE DES BETONS LEGERS 17 May 1974 [18 May 1973] 22246/74 Heading E1W A ribbed concrete floor is reinforced by a lattice girder e.g. 3 which initially supports pots 12, and which incorporate a lower arrangement wherein two longitudinals 1, preferably of wood, are spaced apart by cross members 2 to which lower rods 4 of a triangular-sectioned girder 4, 5, 6 are welded, a closure member 7 and a ceiling support 9 being fixed across between the longitudinals 1. The support 9 may be chicken wire or a plastics latticework, as in Fig. 1, to provide a surface for plastering, and form a support also for the upper member 7, which may be a waterproof plastics sheet. In the embodiment of Fig. 2 (not shown) the ceiling support (9a) may be a board, e.g., to which panels (16) can be nailed. The closure member (7a) in this embodiment is a heatinsulating strip of expanded polystyrene.
