Abstract
252,103. Dehn, F. B., (Oliver & Son, Inc., A.). Sept. 14, 1925. Walls; lathing.-An inner plaster wall and an outer concrete wall are superposed on lathings suspended in spaced parallel relation from the floor beams, which project through the inner wall and into the concrete wall. The lathings, which consist of sheets of wire cloth 13 having between them and also on the inner side sheets 14 of weather - proof - paper, are riveted to the flanges of angle irons 11 attached to floor beams 9. The two lathings are spaced apart by wooden strips 23 and secured by transverse loops 19 projected from a continuous wire 20. The loops 19 are engaged on the outer side by vertical bars 22, and bars 24 are disposed on the inner surface of the inner lathing. A welded wire reinforcement, comprising vertical and horizontal bars 26, 27, is tied to the rods 22 by members 28. Concrete is applied to the 'outer lathing, preferably by means of a cement gun, and the plaster may be trowelled on to the inner lathing.
