Abstract

142,578. Pestarini, G. Feb. 19, 1919. Collectors. - Comprises forms of collecting-rollers for dynamoelectric machines and a holder therefor. The holder comprises a yoke 2 wherein the collecting- rollers 1 are mounted, the yoke being provided with spring-controlled plungers 3 adapted to work in a metal body 4 fitted with spring-adjusting screws 6. The body 4 is connected to the yoke 2 by flexible conductors 8, and is surrounded by an insulator 7. The rollers may be formed of carbon and have a metal core, as shown in Fig. 8, or they may be formed with resilient peripheries by inserting elastic members between a metal core and an outer metal cylinder; the elastic members may comprise metal tubes, as shown in Fig. 4, or a corrugated metal strip, as shown in Fig. 3. Various other forms of elastic members are described.
