369,366. Brushes and brush-holders for dynamo-electric machines. RIZ, A. DE, Pilsen, Czecho-Slovakia, and ALLM€NNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET, Vasteras. Sweden. March 3, 1931, No. 6573. [Class 35.] In a brush-holder and brush combination with line contact between the brush and holder, the arrangement is such that when a small angular movement of the brush occurs, the contact line which is parallel to the machine axis is moved continuously a considerable distance in a direction which is approximately radial. With a plane brush 2, the side of the holder 1 is slightly curved as in Fig. 4, or the brush may be curved as in Fig. 5. As a further alternative, both surfaces may be curved with slightly different radii of curvature.
