Abstract
1309104 Brushes for dynamo-electric machines MORGANITE CARBON Ltd 13 Aug 1971 [26 Aug 1970] 41034/70 Heading H2A The contact surface of a dynamo-electric machine brush 10 is preformed to comprise portions of two intersecting concave surfaces of revolution. The two surfaces of revolution may both be cylinders whose axes Y, Z are at right angles to each other and to the brush axis Z, at least one of the cylinders having a radius equal to or less than the commutator or slip ring radius so that initially the brush will rest stably on the commutator or slip ring. Alternatively one of the surfaces of revolution may be generated by a curved line.
