Abstract

1424617 Electro-deposition of metal and resinous particles. AKZO N V 20 March 1973 [20 March 1972] 13423/73 Heading C7B A metal coating containing organic resinous particles is electro-deposited from an aqueous electro-plating bath comprising ions of the metal to be deposited, 1-300 g/l suspended organic resinous particles having a diameter of less than 50Á and comprising one or more polyfluorocarbon compounds, and a cationic fluorocarbon wetting agent; the bath being continually agitated during electro-deposition. The metal deposited may be Ni, Co, Ag, Au, Pt, Cu, Zn, Cr or brass. For example, an Al substrate may be coated first with Zu, then Ni and thereafter with Ni plus particles.
