Abstract

1421649 Screw fans TOLERIES DE GRENOBLE 30 Oct 1973 [8 Nov 1972] 50485/73 Heading F1C [Also in Divisions F3 and 4] A ventilating air circulating unit comprises a screw fan impeller 5 and motor 4 mounted inside a cylinder 1 and end members 10, 7 and 11 for connecting the cylinder 1 with air-flow ducts, wherein the cylinder 1 may be inverted as shown to reverse the direction of air-flow therethrough. A removable filter 12 may be provided within the cylinder 1. The unit may be used in air extraction Fig. 1 (not shown) or air delivery Fig. 2 (not shown) systems stated to be known. An inlet nozzle 6 for the impeller 5 and support arms 3 for the motor 4 are fixed to a ring 2 which is welded to the cylinder 1.
