Abstract

[Also in Division F4] In an air-cooled heat exchanger, a fan 15 is protected from heat exposure by air passing over the drive motor 27 and gear-box 28 of the fan, the air being induced through thermally-insulated ducts 26 and a draft tube 29 by the action of the fan 15.
