Abstract

871,231. Ventilating. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A. B., and SVENSKA TURBIN AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROM. Oct. 7, 1959 [Oct. 8, 1958], No. 34016/59. Class 137 A system for air conditioning holds which are divided into a number of separate spaces 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, comprises air circulators 6, 7, 8, 9, 10a, 10b one associated with each space and a common air-conditioning unit positioned in the mast house 11 and comprising a supply fan 14 and associated ducts 19 terminating adjacent the suction end of the air circulators and a discharge fan with associated ducts 20 for withdrawing air from the spaces, each of the ducts incorporating a damper 22 for controlling the quantity of air flowing therethrough. Means in the pressure chamber 16 are arranged for cleaning, heating, cooling or dehumidifying the inlet air. By providing a two-speed motor the air conditioning apparatus may operate without the additional air circulators.
