Abstract

1,098,241. Ventilators. TANNOY Ltd. April 4, 1966 [Jan. 4, 1965], No. 286/65. Heading F4V. A ventilator, particularly for boats, has a flange 10 and seal 28 against the decking or roof and inlets 3 admitting air horizontally, the air passing upwardly through a gauze 21 and then downwardly through a deflector 9 to a motordriven fan 12 mounted on anti-vibration mountings 19. Any water entering inlets 3 drains out through outlets 25. The fan can be driven in either direction to draw air in or to expel air. The gauze is supported by radial arms 22 supported by pillars 23. The outer cover 2 may be transparent or translucent.
