1409685 Easy-open can ends AMERICAN CAN CO 18 Oct 1973 48587/73 Heading B8D The handle or finger ring portion 28 of a pull tab 28, riveted to a scoreline-defined removable panel 18 of a can end, is releasablyheld against the panel by dimples 44 and 46 to preventing lifting of the ring portion away from the panel on bulging of the latter due to internal pressure. Modified dimple shapes are disclosed in Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown). The can end may be of steel, tin-plate, aluminium, or plastics.
