Abstract

1452558 Easy-open can ends ALUMINUM CO OF AMERICA 1 July 1974 [19 July 1973] 29137/74 Heading B8D A full-open easy-opening can end comprises a score-line-defined circular removable panel 20 having an X-shaped embossment 26 formed centrally therein, and a rigid pull-tab 22 secured to the panel between a pair of adjacent legs 28 of the embossment. The tab securement comprises an integral rivet 24 which lies on the bisector of the 90 degrees included angle between the pair of adjacent legs. A square finger well is located at the centre of the embossment to facilitate access to the pull-tab handle.
