Mops constructed for wring- ing.-A mop combined with wringer comprises a casing d of corrugated metal carried by an inner sleeve e sliding on the handle c and having pivoted thereto at l corrugated and perforated shutters n connected by links k to an outer sliding sleeve f. To wring the mop, the sleeve e is pushed down by a projecting grip thereon, from engagement with upper spring catches u to carry the casing d over the mop, and the sleeve f is pushed farther down against the action of a return spring g to close the shutters, being held depressed by a spring catch p engaging a notch in the inner sleeve e. The mop is then pressed against the shutters and simultaneously twisted. A frictional sliding sleeve q releases the catch p. The shutters n may carry roller buffers w and may alternatively slide in curved guides.
