Abstract

1407056 Television camera tubes PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 3 Nov 1972 [6 Nov 1971] 50803/72 Heading H1D A television camera tube of the type in which an electron beam is scanned over a photoconductive layer 1 on a transparent electrode 2 has a rotationally symmetrical focusing electrode 8 and a collinating lens constituted by layer 1 and cylindrical electrodes 11, 10, the dimensions B, C and D having the relationships C = 1À2BŒ20%, D = 0À75CŒ20%, the electrode 10 having a positive potential which is the highest in the tube relative to the cathode 5, the voltage on electrode 11 being less than 0À2 times that on electrode 10. A further electrode 9 can be provided and its potential is 0À7Œ20% times that of electrode 10.
