Abstract
1402211 Phosphate pellets HOECHST AG 10 July 1973 [25 July 1972] 32847/73 Heading C1A [Also in Division B5] Pelletizing apparatus comprises a rotary plate 1, means to feed solid material thereto, e.g. distributer 2, a spray 3 to feed the rotary plate with a suspension of clay, a slide 4 receiving pellets produced on the plate, a first conveyer belt 6 to deliver pellets formed thereon to a screen or sieve 7, a sintering grate 5 receiving the larger particles therefrom, a shoot 8 below sieve 7 to receive the smaller particles therefrom, a second conveyer belt 9 to receive the smaller particles and recycle them to the rotary plate 1 via a feed hopper 12, bucket conveyer 13, discharge tube 14, third conveyer belt 15, and funnel 17. The screen or sieve 7 may be vibratory and separate particles of diameter less than 7 mm. or less than 10 mm. for recycling. The material to be pelletized may be ground crude phosphate mixed, if desired with dust from an electrical precipitation apparatus, and sprayed with a suspension of clay in water.
