Vacuum tubes.-An electrode, for instance a cylindrical anode, is formed with integral strips extending in opposite directions and secured to supporting- arms. As shown, the anode 4 has a pair of strips 12 at each end which are secured by winding around, and welding to, supporting-arms 8. A coiled filament cathode 2 is surrounded by a coiled wire grid 3.
