Abstract

1399758 Gas burners GAZ DE FRANCE 22 Nov 1972 [23 Nov 1971] 53932/72 Heading F4T A gas burner comprises a burner head 1 provided with substantially vertical slots 4 and a deflector 7, a groove 11 at the upper ends of the slots being defined by a cavity 11a in the burner head and the lower face of the deflector and forming a zone in which the pressure drop of air/gas mixture supplied to the burner is low in relation to that of neighbouring zones whereby the flame remains in the immediate vicinity of the deflector when the burner is working with light flow of air/gas mixture. The deflector 7 projects beyond the groove 11 and has a recess within which the burner head engages, the distributer 7 and burner head 1 defining a distribution chamber 10 for the air-gas mixture. The burner head 1 has an integral base portion 2 having an axial bore 8 to receive a supply pipe 9a connected to a mixer for combustible gas and air.
