Abstract

1458635 Burners ATELIERS DES CHARMILLES SA 19 Sept 1974 [21 Sept 1973] 40801/74 Heading F4T In a forced draught oil burner, having a fuel atomizing nozzle 3, water is injected into the flame from a co-planar atomizing nozzle 5 to improve the combustion efficiency. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), three co-planar nozzles are provided, the outer nozzles being for the oil supply and the central nozzle for the water. In a further embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), oil and water are ejected from a common nozzle. A flame deflector 6 is provided in all the embodiments.
