Abstract
735,152. Liquid fuel burners. DRAGONAIR, Ltd. Jan. 20, 1954 [July 9, 1953; Sept. 3, 1953], Nos. 19005/53 and 24348/53. Class 75 (1). [Also in Group XIII] In an air heater (see Group XIII), a burner head 4 in which a mixture of air and liquid fuel is burnt comprises a chamber 23 with a cylindrical burner housing 26 projecting through its end wall 24. A fuel atomizer jet 27 is seated in a conical base 28 fitted into the rear portion of the burner housing 26. Primary and secondary air flow through holes in the burner housing 26 and through gaps in the end wall 24 with associated baffles 37b. Tertiary air enters the combustion chamber 3 through openings in the flange 40.
