Spring drives.-An engine 1 is supported in a casing 5 mounted on the hub 6 of a motor-wheel, a pinion 10 on the crank-shaft gearing with a wheel 11 which engages an internally toothed rim on the hub 6. A flexible drive between the shaft 12 and the wheel 11 comprises a member (not shown) mounted upon a square-ended portion of the shaft and secured to a coiled spring, the free end of which engages a recess adjacent the periphery of the wheel.
