Abstract

1397559 Moulding panels J G FARR 5 Sept 1972 [27 Sept 1971] 44839/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division E1] A panel formed by placing the various members successively in a mould comprises a steel mesh reinforcement 2 with a body 1 of substantially rigid foamed polyurethane or polyisocyanate sprayed therearound. A wooden frame 3 may be provided having bolt holes or the reinforcement may project at the panel edges. The body may be faced with brick slips 8 spaced by motor or by tiles, slates, marble, asbestos sheets or metal sheets. The isocyanate polymer is formed by mixing di-phenyl methane diisocyanate and a blend of polyols, a blowing agent silicone oils and a catalyst. The panels are used for walls or ceilings and may be bolted together, angle plates being provided at the junction of a wall and a ceiling. The base of a mould may be provided with ribs defining recesses each the size of one brick slip.
