1394379 Illuminated signs ACME SIGNS & DISPLAYS Ltd 5 Oct 1973 [13 Dec 1972] 57512/72 Heading G5C An illuminated display unit includes a transparent plastics display panel 22 is mounted between an upper channel section 1 and a narrower lower channel section 18 so that the panel is inclined to the vertical to receive light from fluorescent tubes 5, 6 carried in section 1. The two channel sections are connected by steel straps 13 and a rear panel 12. The Fig. 3, embodiment has a hinged front flap 48 giving access to the tubes 40, 41 in upper section 31, and an angled reflector 43 secured to the lower part of rear panel 38. Section 31 may have a groove 62a to receive weather-proofing strip 61. Ventilation holes are included.
