Abstract

1364433 Illuminated signs ADGLOW Ltd 26 Aug 1971 [11 June 1970] 28309/70 Heading G5C An illuminated strip sign for fixing to a shelf comprises an L-sectioned translucent or transparent plastics body 1 providing a first flange 2 by which the sign is mounted and which carries a tubular filament or fluorescent lamp 5, and a second flange 3 comprising a double wall defining a slot 4 into which a translucent paper or plastics display strip 6 is slid for rear illumination by lamp 7. The rear wall 3a may be joined at the top to flange 2 by welding or by being extruded as one piece. The strip 6 may have some display matter viewed by reflected light and the illumination from the rear may be intermittent to change the display. Coloured and/or patterned strips may be inserted with strip 6.
