Abstract

A telephone booth consists of a canopy 3, 4, 5, 6 mounted on a hollow post 1 containing a tamper-proof cash-box compartment connected by a chute to the coin-operable telephone set 8. The panels 4, 5, 6 may be opaque or translucent or made of safety stained glass. Sound proof panels 7 may be added if necessary and a fluorescent lamp incorporated in the ceiling. For numerous minor details concerning shapes of canopy, alarms and miscellaneous fittings, the Specn. should be referred to.
