[Also in Division E1] A pane 30 or opaque panel 29 in a lighting fitting, particularly a fixture of the type claimed in Specification 1,257,089, is secured in a framework made up of frame members 38, 39, 40 each having a flange, e.g. 45, 63, 72, to provide a supporting surface for the marginal portion of the pane or panel and a slot 48 having an inner portion inclined to the supporting surface, a bar 55 being inserted into each slot to hold the pane or panel in position.
