1393566 Rollers V D KREHBIEL 18 April 1972 17800/72 Heading F2V [Also in Division G2] In apparatus for photographic film processing a roller 22 has an outer, resilient, fibrous stocking 25 contacting (a) companion roller(s) so that when a film is passed between them the layer 25 is depressed and thus scrubs the film so preventing a build up of bromide salts near the nip of the roller 22 and its companion. As shown, the roller 22 has a plastics or metal core 26 having cavities 27 receiving plugs 30 which retain the stocking 25. The fibres used can be natural or synthetic. Woven cotton and wool with a looped or cut nap or a sheared natural wool fleece bonded to the roller 22 by adhesive are particularly described.
