Abstract

1,226,482. Rollers. BELOIT CORP. 24 Oct., 1969 [18 Dec., 1968], No. 52243/69. Heading F2U. A roller is formed with circumferential grooves 18 in an outer layer 16 of non-woven mat material wrapping an inner core 14 carrying stub journals 12 and bonded to the core by a thermosetting resin. The mat has a tensile strength of at least 5 lb./inch and may be made from acrylic, polyester, cellulose or other acetate, rayon, polyolefin or nylon fibres, or of paper or paperboard. The preferred bonding agent is epoxy resin.
