Abstract

1389179 Slewing jib cranes INDUSTRIEELE HANDELSCOMBINATIE HOLLAND NV 15 May 1973 [18 May 1972] 23077/73 Heading B8B A slewing crane comprises a superstructure supported on a base 1 through at least one slewing bearing (shown as pairs of bogies 10), and including a counterweight 4 and bracing member 5 each being supported on the base 1 at diametrically opposite sides of the axis of the bearing, a jib 11 being supported on the base 1 at a location intermediate the counterweight 4 and the bracing member 5. As shown the jib 11 is pivotally supported at points 12 and 13 diametrically opposed with respect to the axis of rotation of the bearing on a line at 90 degrees to the diametrical line between the bracing member 5 and the counterweight 4.
