Abstract

1310635 Tower crane jibs LINDEN-ALIMAK AB 19 April 1971 [27 Jan 1970] 20469/71 Heading B8B A tower crane jib 5 mounted for slewing on a tower 2 has no outside staying members and is constructed from modules M of different bearing capacities, the bearing capacity increasing from the free end of the jib 5 inwardly. As shown the modules M are of rectangular section with hollow upper and lower frame members 12, 13 of rectangular section, the different bearing capacities being obtained by using different thicknesses of material, the outer or inner dimensions of all the members being equal. The modules M are bolted together by flanges 18 on the upper members 12, the lower members 13 having guide pins 19 for centring purposes, and serving as a runway for a load carriage 9.
