Abstract

1,265,109. Jib cranes. MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO K.K. 10 Nov., 1970 [10 June, 1970], No. 53502/70. Heading B8B. A twin-type slewing crane comprises a centre post 1 fixed to the upper deck 3 of a ship and carrying a pair of similar jibs 5, 5<SP>1</SP> similarly mounted. The jib 5, e.g., is mounted for luffing on a column 4 supported on bearings 8, 9 for slewing about the post 1. The jibs 5, 5<SP>1</SP> may be used separately, Fig. 2 (not shown), or brought into parallelism, Fig. 3 (not shown), and used jointly by synchronously operating their respective driving means.
