Abstract

138,714. Wood, B. G. Feb. 24,1919. Weather screens; mud-guards; supports. - A casing enclosing the engine is formed with a wide front plate C and a large opening F at the top through which the air passes to cool the cylinders. The air passes out at the rear through long slits formed between the rear part E of the casing and the ordinary rear mud-guard. The sides D of the casing are hinged at P and are detachably secured by bolts L and spring clips K. The front plate C and the rear part E of the casing serve as mudguards and are connected by the foot-boards A. A member R is fixed to the frame to take the shock if the machine falls over; side-car connexions may be attached to this member. The opening F may be arranged in front of the steering-head.
