[Classes 136 (i) and 136 (iii)] A stream-lined motor-cycle frame comprises ribs for supporting the engine and its auxiliaries as a unit, a saddle support, front and rear forks and foot rests located substantially at the level of the axis of the front wheel, characterized in that the saddle support is situated as close as possible to the gear for transmitting the power of the engine to the rear wheel, the support being completed by an inclined arched member the plane of which is substantially tangential to the rear wheel housing and which serves to support a back rest. The steering column 6 is mounted on a bearing 2 which also supports the spring front fork 1. Ribs 9 and 10 are connected to the bearing 2 and are joined by a rib 11 to support the motor 23. A rear member 13 providing a back support 25 for the driving seat 24 is mounted on a transverse member 12. The member 13 supports horizontal members 14 for the seat and has mounted the rear fork 17 and ribs 18 and 19. The engine is enclosed by side panels 27 having front stream-lined casings 30 for the feet and mudguards 31. The casings extend upwards and merge to form a panel 33 with a windscreen 34. The upper part of the rear wheel has a stream-lined casing 37 with a mudguard ending with a pivoted part 38. The casing may enclose a full container and the upper part may form an auxiliary seat with a flap 41 providing a back-rest. Other flaps may be provided in the panels as required.
