Abstract

1382885 Drying, space heating or ventilating F G KONSTANDT 30 March 1972 [5 April 1971] 15020/72 Headings F4G F4S and F4V An apparatus generating a flow of heated air for drying clothes, or space heating, or ventilating comprises a housing 1 provided with an electrical fan and heating resistance(s) and connected to a base b by means of pivotal rods 9, 10 so that the housing 1 is movable between a position in which it extends perpendicular to the base b (as shown) and a position in which it extends parallel to the base b. The base b may be secured to a wall so that clothes may be suspended for drying (as shown) from a grill 8 which is retractable against the front of the housing 1, a curtain 19 being removably attached to the housing 1. The apparatus may, with the curtain 19 removed, be utilized as a convector space heater with the air outlet directed either upwardly or substantially horizontally (Figs. 4 and 5). The fan may have more than one speed. The apparatus may operate as a fan or a fan heater.
