Abstract

An induction-type heating and ventilation unit comprises an outer casing 10 having an open bottom, elongated heating elements 18 and 20 and a fresh air duct 24 having a horizontal row of ejection orifices 28. Air is supplied to the duct 24 from an aperture in an external wall 26 by fans 30 located in a compartment at one end of the casing, Figs. 1 and 3 (not shown). The heaters may be hot water pipes or electric elements and may be thermostatically controlled. The orifices 28 are formed by bending back tabs 29 from the fresh air duct wall. The fan motor may be of variable speed.
