Abstract

[Also in Divisions F1 and H5] Apparatus for circulating and heating air in a room or other space comprises a transverse-flow fan rotor 12 which can draw in air from the room &c. through an inlet 6 or from outside the room &c. through a duct 9 and an inlet 8, or through both inlets, depending on the position of a control flap 14 controlled by a lever 15. The air is discharged into the room through an outlet 4, having been heated, if required, by a finned heat exchanger 10 or electric heating elements 11, or both.- The heat exchanger 10 is connected into a small-bore central heating system. Either the electric heating elements 11 or the heat exchanger 10 may be omitted. In the latter case, the duct 9 may be connected to a duct supplying hot air from a hot-air central heating system.
