Abstract
1,127,599. Unit air heaters or coolers; space heating or cooling apparatus. G. HANSSON. 24 Nov., 1966 [15 Dec., 1965], No. 53269/65. Headings F4S and F4V. A heat exchanger 10 such as a hot or cold water, steam, or oil-filled vertical radiator is mounted in a close fitting metal casing having inlet and outlet openings 18 and 19 provided in opposite faces for air circulated by a cross flow blower 20. The fluid flow in the radiator, or the blower motor, may be subject to thermostatic control. Modifications include blowers at one or both ends of the radiator, the air openings being provided in the same face of the casing, and the rear panel being formed by a wall against which the heat exchanger is positioned.
